Embryos
When we started breeding Limousins, the Romswood and Collian Park herds were amongst the highest profile and most successful in Australia. Their cattle dominated the show-rings and were highly sought after by other Limousin breeders and commercial cattlemen alike.
At this time, although Breedplan figures were available, the number of traits was limited. The docility trait was not measured and not considered to be of high importance. Over the past few years, the breed has had a major focus on improving temperament. For some breeders, the push for high docility has perhaps led to the production of quiet cattle that are now lacking in other areas (e.g. structure, conformation, muscling).
Although the docility figures of some of the embryo donors may be less than average, you can be assured they comprise some of the best pedigrees in the Limousin breed and will exhibit excellent breed characteristics. If bloodlines are important to you, you can’t go past them.

3 embryos |
These embryos featured the best Australian, British and North American genetics available at their time of production.
The dam, Margaret Jean, is a daughter of the renowned Collian Park Hollandaise, and is sired by the equally famous WLCC No Substitute.
Cross her with the well-muscled British sire, Broadmeadows Tombola, and the results should be something special!
Romswood Pierre is from the same joining, so there is a preview of what you can expect.

| Collian Park Lacey |

4 embryos |
These embryos again feature the best of Australian and English genetics available at their time of production. The dam, Collian Park Lacey was herself the result of embryo transfer. Her dam, Nifty Hypatia, is another of the Limousin breed’s most famous females, imported from the United Kingdom.
Harvest Olympus is arguably the most well known British sire, being a trait leader for milk, all growth and carcase traits.

5 embryos |
These embryos were imported from Canada. The dam, Unbelievable, has breeding going back to the highly regarded Hanchon’s Napoleon (the highest indexing bull at the 1981-82 Canadian Limousin Bull Test). She was described as being easy fleshing and having a “perfect udder”.
Pub was imported from France by a group of Canadian breeders. He was purchased by Stewart Farming in 1984 for $ 62 000 at auction. A Pub son, Boneparte Norseman, won the Canadian Bull Test in 1982, while Pub grandsons won in 1984 and 1985. His maternal traits are excellent – low birth weight and good calving ease. |
Semen
Over the years, we have accumulated a lot of Limousin semen – our tank is overflowing! John says I can’t buy any more unless I sell some, so help me out! All reasonable offers will be considered.
